Go ahead, make me high

skateman_smallNo one has ever attempted to roller skate up and back down Patterson Pass in recorded history. (I googled it.) Some of you would wonder if it’s possible to skate 4.5 miles up to the top and back down with 1600 feet of elevation. Some of you would call me the right kind of crazy.

I’ll tell you why it’s possible… because I am powered by love for my brother Jeff. He is living with Multiple Myeloma and conquering it! We are running the NYC marathon on Nov. 2 with brother Brad to raise money for a cure. Many generous donations have already come in but we have not reached our goal. So I am going to do something crazy to draw supplemental attention to the cause and show my brother and other MM patients how much we care about them!

You can be a part of this historic event by simply donating at this link.

Any amount will make a difference, and qualify you to run or ride alongside me Oct. 6. Or you can  just enjoy the video afterwards from the safety of your couch.

  • I will ONLY do this “Skateman Challenge” if we reach $5000 total donations by Sat. Oct. 5 at 5:00pm PST. (Check current total)
  • The actual skate will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 starting at 10:00am at the Powerstation.

I will have people support and will NOT be in any danger on this challenge. I will, however, be under extreme exertion and this will not be easy. Fighting cancer is not easy either. If Jeff can do that, I can do this. No, WE can do this.

So please donate, share the link, tell your friends and alert the press! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving.

I like your commitment David…however…that doesn’t sound safe…going up is one thing…its coming back down that makes me nervous….that can get very fast!
